WHEN:       Saturday, June 2^nd, 2012 from 10am to 12pm.  You must register by June 14th.  Medical forms provided by Edleweiss will need to be filled out and signed by physician prior to the clinic!

COST:        It is $15 per participant before Sunday, May 20^th

Carmel, IN – Over 60 youth athletes with physical disabilities from across the Midwest will be coming together on January 21^st to compete in the 2^nd Annual RHI Sports Naptown Classic youth wheelchair basketball tournament at The Monon Community Center in Carmel, IN.  There will be two divisions of play based on age, and games will start at 9:00am both days.  Teams from Indianapolis, Hammond and Fort Wayne, IN, and Nashville, TN will be in attendance.

The RHI Sports Naptown Classic will provide an opportunity for youth athletes with physical disabilities to compete together and challenge each other, breaking down stereotypes of perceived ability and evoking feelings of camaraderie, accomplishment, and confidence. All of the proceeds from this inaugural event will support the two RHI youth wheelchair basketball teams: RHI Mini Pacers (ages 7 -12) and RHI Racers (ages 13-18); two of 15 adaptive sports teams offered through the RHI Sports Program.

This tournament will not only bring crucial support to this valuable program, but will also showcase the accomplishments of RHI Sports youth wheelchair basketball athletes and highlight the importance of providing athletic opportunities to people of all abilities in our community.

“We are excited to be able to showcase what the RHI Sports Program is all about and give our kids a chance to play close to home in front of their friends and family” RHI Sports Program coordinator Jake Patrick says.
