Sharyl J. Border, PhD, MBA Executive Director of Business Development and Marketing

Sharyl J. Border, PhD, MBA joined RHI in December of 2010 as Executive Director of Business Development and Marketing.  Sharyl has over 20 years of for-profit and not-for-profit health care management experience. As Executive Director of Business Development and Marketing for RHI, Sharyl is responsible for inpatient admissions, referral clinical liaisons, out-patient marketing, reception area, along with all hospital marketing and public relations. Prior to RHI, Sharyl worked for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, where she was a senior specialty sales representative focused on the company’s neuroscience products; working closely with state and local hospitals, as well as community mental health centers in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Sharyl has held leadership roles with the Arthritis Foundation, Indiana Chapter, The Indiana Hand Center, The Indiana Arthritis Center and The Care Group. She is very active in her community and currently serves on the Helene G. Simon Hillel Board of Directors at Indiana University. Sharyl earned her MBA in Health Care Administration and her PhD in Business Administration from Canyon College, in California.

Larissa Swan, MS, OTR Executive Director of Therapies

Larissa Swan, MS, OTR, CLT joined RHI August 2010 as the Executive Director of Therapies.  Larissa received her undergraduate degree in Movement and Sports Science from Purdue University, specializing in kinesiology and exercise physiology; and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from University of Indianapolis.  She has over 15 years of clinical and management experience specializing in program development, brain injury, pulmonary impairments, and Parkinson’s Disease, with certification in lymphedema management.  Larissa provides leadership through program development, and fiscal oversight for RHI’s inpatient and outpatient therapy services. The Executive Director of Therapies applies the strategic plans of RHI to the therapy areas while collaborating with physicians, nursing leadership, staff and administration to strengthen RHI’s continuum of care.

Lisa A. Lombard, MD RHI Medical Director

Lisa A. Lombard, M.D., joined RHI in January 2011 as RHI Medical Director. She completed her undergraduate degree in neuroscience at Amherst College, attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, and completed her residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She underwent fellowship training in brain injury medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, where she also served as director of the brain injury rehabilitation service. She has actively participated in the Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems grants at the University of Pittsburgh as well as at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center where she was Chief of Neurorehabilitation. In addition to her board certification in PM&R, she is also has a board certification in spinal cord injury medicine. Her clinical interests include behavioral disturbances after traumatic brain injury, neuropharmacology, and concussion.

James D. Graham Executive Director of RHI Foundation

Jim Graham is Executive Director, RHI Foundation. Jim has been with the RHIF since early 2002 and coordinates all RHIF development, fund raising and planned giving activities. Prior to joining the RHI Foundation, Jim was VP of Business Development for Walker Information in Indianapolis where he worked with the Customer Loyalty Measurement division and also helped launch Walker’s not for profit services company, Walker Direct. Before joining Walker, Jim was Director of Development for the Colleges of Engineering, Nursing and Education and Assistant Director of Planned Giving at the University of Iowa Foundation. He serves on the boards of the Planned Giving Group of Indiana and the Brain Injury Association of Indiana. Jim has a B.A from Vanderbilt University and an M.A. from the University of Iowa.
