The Adults Take Their Turn At The Monon! March 1st, 2011

After a successful youth tournament in January, the adults had their turn at the 2011 RHI Sports Winter Bash adult wheelchair basketball tournament on February 26th and 27th at the Monon Community Center.  With 5 teams from Indiana and the Chicago area and over 40 adult athletes, emotions ran high at the Winter Bash.  The competition was great as spectators saw many close games including two overtime games on Saturday.

The RHI Pacers cruised through pool play on Saturday and Sunday morning winning all four of their games behind  strong efforts from NWBA All-Star Jeff Townsend and NWBA East All-Star team MVP Brian Bell (Picture Here).  But some hot shooting in second half led the Rockford Chariots to victory over the RHI Pacers 63-62 in the Championship game.
